For those who've just found this site out, here's a little reminder. In 2001, I created two distinct sites: September Rain (dedicated to Guns N'Roses) and One Wild Band (dedicated to Bon Jovi). Then, some inspired fans suggested I should have both bands on one site. A couple of weeks later, Rock And A Hard Place was born and given the feedback I've received, I can only thank my precious advisers! Like the previous sites, this one, besides the fact that it's dedicated to two bands, has the specific aspect of having two versions: french and english. Furthermore, I wish to make it the most complete website about these two bands (is that all?)but in a rock'n'roll spirit. That's why you'll find informative sections but also funny ones. But after some months, I realised that Rock And A Hard Place was more like a portal about two groups than to one site melting both bands (see the difference?) . that's when I decided to rewamp the website: a hell of a work which started in summer 2003 and ended in October 2004. |
| VERSION 2.0 ON LINE | |
|
As usual, the French part was the first online (translation takes an awful amount of time:-)) that being said, english-speaking fans could still access the old site. The site navigation was changed, as well as the organisation of most sections, just to make Bon Jovi and Guns N'Roses cohabit to the max. I've also started new sections and I hope you'll like them too. By the way, you'll see the website is still under construction, for the good reason that it takes more than some months to relate more than 20 years of these bands' history (unless you don't need to have a day job, lol). Don't worry: it won't remain this way, each section will be completed month after month. Anyway, you can also contribute to this site. |

| HOW TO CONTRIBUTE ? | |
|
Besides the usual and yet essential interactivity (forum, guestbook, etc.),know that you can contribute to any section of the website and you can even suggest some new features. You see, there are a lot of sections and a lot of pissibilities then I'm not going to tell them all here, but if you need extra info, use the Contact section or the forum to get in touch with me. Of course, you'll be credited for your contributions. By the way, I'd like to have a section called "Site contributors". Enough talking: you have a website to visit and i have a day job to find (note to bosses: I'm looking for a job as a webmaster or graphist, or even commuication assistant), he he. Love, Faith & Roses Sam, webmaster of Rock And A Hard Place |
